Description
Automatic ADA Access That Just Works — Designed, Engineered, and Built in the USA
The Micom Smart Swing 3® Low Energy Door Operator (SW800) is the workhorse that schools, hospitals, retail stores, churches, government buildings, and private homes choose when they need barrier-free access that holds up to real-world use, day after day. It's the rare opener that performs equally well on a quiet residential entry and on a high-traffic mall door — and it does both without compromise.
Setup in minutes, not hours. Forget memorizing codes or fighting tiny DIP switches. The Smart Swing 3® uses an integrated Bluetooth® app for fully visual, on-device programming. Every setting — speed, hold time, latching, power close — is a tap away. And because programming stays on the device, you skip the security risk of internet-connected access hardware.
Two operators in one. Most low-energy openers struggle when traffic ramps up. The Smart Swing 3® was built to switch modes. Use it as a quiet, ADA-compliant low-energy operator for accessibility, or push it into high-frequency duty for entries that see thousands of cycles a day. It accepts standard safety inputs and provides 24V output for activation devices, magnetic locks, and accessories.
A gentle Push & Go option makes the door feel natural to use, with adjustable open and close speeds that prevent accidents if someone unintentionally blocks the swing.

Not sure which configuration fits your door? Call us at 800-413-3302 — our door-opener specialists will walk you through it before you buy. We'd rather spend ten minutes on the phone than have you order the wrong handing.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I figure out my door handing? ▼
See the diagram just below this Q and A. Be sure to note that this diagram is from the outside of the doorway looking in. Most importantly is the question of are you pushing the door open (inside pushing door out) or pulling the door open (inside pulling the door to exit). Left and right handing can be changed in the field, however push to open or pull to open require different arms.
Will the Smart Swing work with my existing magnetic lock? ▼
Yes, the Smart Swing is compatible with 12V/24V DC magnetic locks. Instructions include how to wire the magnetic lock to the board inside the motor housing.
Do I need battery backup? ▼
In the event of a power failure the Smart Swing will not operate. If the application includes no person nearby to open the door for a disabled user, then a battery backup is a smart addition.
What's the difference between wireless and direct wired buttons? ▼
Direct wire buttons require running low voltage wires from the motor housing to the button. In new construction or remodeling this might be possible without messy exposed wiring. For retrofit and non-remodeling situations, we suggest the wireless setup which includes a transmitter for each button and a receiver that is attached in the motor housing.
Can I install the Smart Swing myself? ▼
Yes. A good handyman can install one in less than a day. We have never had a failed installation by one of our customers to our knowledge. Step by step instructions are included as well as an install video you can watch right here on this page.
What happens if a part fails? ▼
Parts are covered for two years. Since we do not do the installation, replacing a failed part is up to the buyer. We do replace warranted parts free of charge.
