How much does a commercial automatic door opener cost?

Typically, you can plan on spending $2500 to $3000 for a commercial automatic door opener plus a set of push buttons (one for each side of the doorway).

What's the cost to install a commercial door opener?

Depeneding on the application, a good handyman can install an opener in less than one day.  With experience, a good handyman can install one in a half day.  Keep in mind the opener also has to be wired from a nearby outlet, so installation will likely include an electrician for 2 hours.

Do I need a low energy or a high energy door operator?

A low energy system works fine for most applications and our low energy systems at Careprodx are in place at restaurants, medical buildings, libraries, clubhouses and many other locations across the United States.  High energy systems, such as those installed at grocery stores or busy places like Target or Walmart must be installed by a liscensed installer.  High energy systems will cost 4 to 5 times more than a low energy system

Are automatic door openers required by the ADA?

Automatic door opener and ADA requirements differ dramatically from one location to another.  Local ordinances can alter the requirements for any location.  We suggest you check with your local building code officials to ascertain local requirements.

Can it integrate with access control / fire alarm systems?

Our smart door operators come with all the connections necessary for various access control systems.  When purchasing for a system that includes access controls like card readers or coded entry, we suggest you check with your systems control company for advice.
